Devious Journal Entry

You know, its gotten to the point that *whenever* I see a color photograph looking piece in the DDs of a celebrity, some myspace shot, or "emotive shot of someone's face, close up on the eyes," I don't even click on it anymore: I already know it's the DD for vector/vexel.

My "that's exactly what I was thinking" alarm is going off. I think I should go answer it.

I haven't looked at the DDs at all in a while. Been too busy to do anything but check my inbox.

Don't get me started. I had my little flirtation with the mainstream vector/vexel community earlier in the year, but it's really gotten old. The lack of fundamental creativity is rampant (this is not universal, of course — there are plenty of people at the edges making really neat, unusual stuff. But they don't tend to get the DDs).

You and ~turp are far and away my favourite vector/vexel artists, though there are a few other really outstanding ones also.

What's wrong with vector/vexel?

There's nothing "wrong" with vector/vexel. There is something wrong with the situation I wrote about above.
